Kids Come and Try Disc Golf Day

We had a very successful morning of disc golf at Ruffey Lake Park Disc Golf Course in Doncaster today.  School holidays and lovely Autumn weather provided the perfect setting for our free, come and try day for kids and their parents.  It was great to see so many people out on the course learning about disc golf and enjoying the game.  We had ten kids and eight parents participating.

Evelyn took responsibility for one group, guiding them around the course and teaching skills, rules and course etiquette.  The parents were very impressed with her presentation skills and her passion for the sport and the kids who ranged from just five years old to twelve, all thoroughly enjoyed the day.  I am sure we will see many of them out on the course again very soon with their families.    Evelyn is planning another junior clinic for May and hoping to see even more juniors participating.
