We have enjoyed another fantastic weekend of disc golf at the South Australian Open in Mt Gambier, SA.

The Women’s Global event was run in conjunction with this event and it was great to see so many women participating.

The course at Mt Gambier is spectacular. It is situated at Crater Lakes inside a dormant volcanic crater. There were some fun challenges including some very tall baskets.

Evelyn played some great disc golf over the two days, averaging 26 points above her current rating to place 1st in the Women’s Junior (under 15) division.

She also had a little luck on her side with the CTP shootout when her drive hit the branches of a tree and dropped near the basket.

I was lucky enough to play Evelyn on Mother’s day. I can’t imagine a better way to spend the day.

Back home at Melbourne now and planning a disc golf clinic and our trip to the US for Junior Worlds.
Wow, this course looks amazing!

Yes, it is an amazing course and brand new. This is the first time we have ever played on a course which has concrete tee pads for all holes so it was exciting for us. The course has shorter tees too. (27 in total).
